D'Addario have provided great consistent sound & service. I keep the package and mark the date and the guitar when I do a change. With coated strings I generally change strings every 6 months. Changing strings is a fairly inexpensive way to explore a little tweeting of sound by trying nickel bronze, silk & steel, aluminum bronze ... strings. Even with coating it is still good to clean the strings after playing. Steve McCombs
